College Football begins! Here's my viewing schedule

By noon (or thereabouts) every Thursday, I'll publish my College Football viewing schedule.

Some rules (or guidelines):

Lunch with old friends in the Flats

Fortunate today to meet up with our friends from Conneaut (and Bethany!) for a great lunch along the Cuyahoga River at Lindey's Lake House (formerly the Coastal Taco).

We met through boating in Ashtabula and used to be dock partners for a few years at Riverside Yacht Club.  They still have their boat at Conneaut Boat Club.  We had so many good times with these guys and watched both of our daughters grow up.

Had a great time catching up for the first time in a few years.

The week in review

Last week was a "good" week.

Met with our friends, the Greens, in Berea at the Cornerstone Brewery for some beverages and dinner.  (Note to self:  Don said the chicken strips are like Arby's).  Pulled pork was good, Connie said the fried green beans were good.

The weekend at the park was pretty laid back.  I did introduce a new beverage, a Pineapple-Lime Tequila Chiller.  Was really good.

Sunday, it was wakey wakey for French Toast and Bakey as the Davis family came out on their way to spending time at Ohio's Largest Indoor Water Park, Kalahari in Sandusky.

Jimmy Buffett Concert (at Woodstock?)

Had a few people over to the rig last night to watch a broadcast of the Jimmy Buffett concert on Margaritaville.TV.   One of the neighbors said it was kind of like Woodstock.  (Um, yeah.  No.)  Only one picture because I didn't get any shots before it was too dark, but had probably 8-14 people at any one time.  Also a good test of a new recipe of Key Lime Martinis*.

Was a good test (for football season) since cutting the cord of the new set up with the FireTV, the projector unit and the screen.  Got to be really dark, though.  At least 15-20 minutes after sunset.

* - Key Lime Martini Recipe:

1 part Eagle Brand Milk
1 part Pineapple Juice
1 part Lime Juice
1 part Whipped Cream (or Vanilla) Vodka

Ready for the fall and next spring

One of the nice things about staying at a seasonal site (like here in Timber Ridge Campground) in the summer on the same site is being able to buy and store your firewood, and your "stuff" over the winter.

Guy down the road sells a 1/2 rick for $35 and a whole rick for $60.  You load, you haul.  Got the whole rick in the fall of 2017, lasted till this June.  Got the half rick this time, which should last through next June again.  We'll see.

My last post on this blog

This blog was started as a way to communicate to everyone in long form about Connie and my adventures.  It turned into a way to long form gi...
